How to create a Windows account 

To get the most out of your windows phone, and to be able to download apps you will have to create a windows account.  Click Here for more information on how to set up an account.

How to set up a backup on your device 

Your Windows handset provides a back up service to the cloud, this ensures that you do not lose any important data on your handset, including apps, photographs and contact etc.  Click Here to find out more information on how you activate the back up service.  Please note, you will have to activate each type of backup for the following, Photo, Apps, and Text Messaging.

How to perform a manual backup

How to wipe all data from your Windows Phone

How to setup your University email account on your Windows phone  

You can access your University email account on your Windows phone.  Click Here to find out how to add an Exchange Account to the device.  

You will need the followin information to set up your email account:

Email address:  Enter your Univerity emai account john.doe@sunderland.ac.uk

Password:  Enter your University email account password

Username: Enter your University username for example ud0xxx

Domain:  Enter Uni

Server:  Enter mail.staff.sunderland.ac.uk

SSL Encryption: Required
